Gambia down again in FIFA ranking

Senior National Team
Gambia slipped off further down by two places on FIFA, according to the world soccer governing body’s monthly country-rating release. One method used to gauge performance is based on competition activeness on international level but the Scorpions yet again fell short of making a new climb after a succession of dismal runs. Condemned to the base of the World Cup qualifier group bossed by Cote d’voire in C, Scorpions fans will have trouble downing on these seemingly heart-wrenching result.

Gambia is ranked 146 –four places above football unknowns Hong Kong – and rating 40th in Africa. In the continent, Mancini and men are ten places from bottom place occupants Djibouti who are 54th.
Gambia group toppers Cote d’Voire continue to lead the series at Caf level with Ghana’s Black stars second, Mali third, Nations Cup winners Nigeria fourth and Algeria’s desert Foxes 5th. Senegal is 28th three above Guinea Conakry in Caf and 88th in the world while Sierra Leone dropped by four footings but still maintains an impressive 14th place in the continent and 67th in the globe. Spain lead the way on top on 1538 points with Germany second, Argentina 3rd, Croatia 4th and Portugal as 5th.
