Gambia’s hopful midfielder Tijan Jaiteh has called on the football authorities to organise more test games for the Scorpions in order to prepare well for competitive outings. The Sandefjord midfielder was speaking to Journalists in a pose match  interview after playing the whole game in their shock 2-0 loss to Mauritania on Wednesday.

He said: “Most of the players are young but I hope the second friendly against the same team on Saturday will be different. I hope they will rectify the mistakes because it is a young team, but we will talk to them to see better improvement.”
As to what went wrong in the team, Jaiteh said there were so many inexperienced players, while hoping that they will learn from the first encounter.“We have to make the boys realise that in an international game, they have to concentrate and focus well for the whole 90 minutes. And hopefullythey will rectify the mistakes on Saturday,” he added.

Asked if the same team is fit to face Ivory Coast, Tijan Jaiteh replied in the negative, saying that the team against the Elephants will be a different one. “It is just to give the local-based players the chance,” he said.
