Over 46 British volunteers from Football Gambia, a charitable organisation based in the United Kingdom, recently took part in meaningful project activities geared towards improving the lives of Gambians through physical and financial contribution to enable the needy realise their primary objectives.
Ian Stapleton, the founder and director of Football Gambia (UK charity)
underscored the importance of their immense participation in developmental
activities in the country, which he said range from promoting education to
developing communities through football.
According to him, he first came to The Gambia in 2009 as a tourist, but
having the experience in coaching the U-9 and U-14 in the UK, he was inspired
to give out his skills to the young lads of this country. He added that he
started with Lamin KGH, a football academy based in Lamin Village in the Kombo
North District.
