Bremen Border F.C among the most famous and the most organized teams
in the Bakau annual football Newettan are currently yarning for sponsorship
from companies, philanthropies and individuals ahead of the 2012 Nawettan
competition organize by the Bakau Zonal Sport Committee (BZSC).
Speaking to this reporter, Ousman Sonko one of the young player who
has been with team since its formation four years ago stated that “the team
right now are in need of sponsors to better prepare ourselves ahead of this
coming season. Though we are yet to begin training for now, as we hope to have
certain things in place before training start”.
Sonko quickly recognized the valuable role and contribution done by
the foundation father of the team Mr Demba Manja for the past years, and
commended his efforts on behave of the entire team mates and management.
He disclosed that “ the last time the team benefited from a sponsor
was in the mid season on last year’s competition thanks to one Baba Sahoneh a Gambia based
Canadian with full sporting materials including to sets of jersey”.
The team
has three appearance in the Bakau Nawettan out of which two year’s were fully
sponsored by Demba Manja before felling in the hands of Baba Sahoneh the
following year when the team was seriously in need of help during the time”.

Out of all appearance Bremen Border F.C had in the Bakau Nawettan, got
their best record in the last year’s championship after reaching the quarter
final in the knockout trophy and lost to the tournament big gun Ron Mango in a
pose penalties shootout.
