Mario Gomez has revealed he would not mind warming the bench occasionally, providing that Bayern Munich are crowned Bundesliga champions at the end of the season.

The striker is no longer an undisputed starter at the Allianz Arena after missing the opening months of the 2012-13 campaign due to injury, but he insists lifting trophies is more important to him than returning to the starting XI.

"I really only have one big objective and that's winning the Bundesliga title. Everything else is less important to me," Gomez told Bild.

He added,"I will be more than happy if I have to come off the bench 10 more times or so this season as long as we end up winning the league title.

"It's too soon to congratulate us with the title, though. We know that we have remain focused during the second half of the season. We can only beat ourselves if we manage to do just that."

Gomez has won two league titles to date - firstly with Stuttgart in 2006-07 and later Bayern in 2009-10.
