BEM AND MANJAI SUPER NAWETTAN GAME ENDED IN STALEMATE

Last year’s debutant in the Super Nawettan tournament, combination of Barra, Essau and Mayamba in short (BEM) FC play a stalemate game with Manjai FC on Tuesday at the Serekunda West mini stadium in the group A tie of the ongoing 2012 championship.

Coach Omar Jobe’s side Manjai were the first to broke the deadlock in the 14th minutes courtesy of  Hamat Jengum  spectacular strike which bypasses BEM’s goalkeeper Lamin Bonjang to stoned the park with a jubilations from Manjai fans. The jubilation momentum could not last longer for their supporters, as BEM’s Assan Njie cancel the efforts of Manjai’s goal with a rocket short out of the eighteen yard box sending the goalkeeper Jaye Dem to a long body springing for the ball, but fail to catch as the ball was put in the nearest side of the right pose.

Masanneh Ceesay fail to double the lead for BEM  in a close range short by putting the ball at a side bar when his team mate Edrisa Faye set him from a brilliant pass after drivel passing the right half back to enter into the box.

The game on Tuesday futured a brilliant display of skill from the 2 teams in the regular time, but however BEM F.C was total in control of the game over role and dominated their opponent in the midfield as well as the ball passions.

Borries Demba’s side BEM was able to collect four points out of their group last year in the first campaign in the Super Nawettan tournament, and there is a high hope that with the skill display on Tuesday BEM can reach another respectable position in this year’s championship.

In the other game on Tuesday in Banjul, the defending champions Lamin FC suffered from a one nil win in the hand of Banjul. The only goal from Ebrima Camara was all enough to give them the maximum three points in the expense of the defending champions Lamin.
